Any individuals…
• who are interested in expressing themselves creatively
• who wish to use art as a means of relaxation, recreation, and/or income
• who desire to learn different techniques and styles or want to further develop their own talents
• who would like to discover and push their individual style
• who would like to exhibit their artwork and earn money from sales of their work
Do you want to be an entrepreneur?
Hearts for the Arts is developed not only as a recreational facility, but also as an arts-entrepreneurial program. We serve all people including those with developmental and physical disabilities who have a strong passion for the arts and who would like to work at becoming artists. The program helps individuals improve their artistic and vocational skills as well as gives self esteem and confidence to become selling artists. We also provide a venue for artists to exhibit, promote and sell their work to further achieve their goal.
What if you don’t have any experience with art?
That's okay! All Hearts for the Arts artists have different levels of skills and experience, however they all…
• have the opportunity to experiment with a wide variety of media to find out what they enjoy and excel at the most
• get the encouragement and support they need to try new creative outlets
• get professional guidance to learn how to work their best with many different materials
• have an uplifting and positive environment to boost confidence in their natural abilities and talents
• learn how to best brainstorm, collaborate and work with other creative individuals that share their passion
• have the opportunity to display their work at exhibitions and events
